Walking the 'Shariki-Michi' path up Mt. Nokogiri is walking on a piece of history. The 'shariki' women used to wheelbarrow 240kg worth of stone from the top to the bottom of the mountain along this path. It's amazing to reflect upon the enormous physical efforts of these amazing women of history as you're ascending the trail.
"Lost in the woods". Literally.
Where are our morning people??? 🌞
The views from the top of Mt. Nokogiri 👀 This overhang is a huge tourist attraction as it is 'jigoku nozoki' ('Peek into Hell'). There was a huge line of people waiting in an orderly fashion to get their shot on the famous jagged rock.
Just living my best Indiana Jones life🤠
